ABOUT BOOKING
"Do you require a deposit to book a performance?"

We require a deposit for all private events bookings in order to hold a requested date. Deposit MUST be paid at least 5 days in advance in order to confirm your booking. Non-payment of deposit will result in release of the booking date. Civic, library, retail, non-profit organization and educational events do not require a deposit.

"Do you charge for travel?"
There is a travel fee of .75 cents per mile for venues more than 20 miles from our Corona, California studio. We will calculate the total distance round trip to your event, and then deduct 40 FREE miles from the total mileage. You travel fee will be noted in your Show Fee Quotation.

"When is payment due?"
You are welcomed to pre-pay your show fee in advance - this is frequently done to avoid having to make a transaction during your event. We expect any balance due to be paid AT THE TIME OF THE EVENT.

"Do you accept credit cards?"
We accept most major credit cards conveniently online through PayPal.com
. We will provide you instructions for paying online when we send you a quotation. We also accept personal checks (at least one week in advance of your show date), money orders, cashiers checks, and of course, cash. We do not accept Traveler's Checks.

Solution Graphics
"What if we cancel our booking?"
Cancellation of a booking wthin 10 days of your show date will result in the full forfeiture of any deposit made. 50% of any fully pre-paid event fee will be returned to the client. Your show booking requires us to turn away potential bookings in order to secure your show date - a late cancellation results in potential lost business to us. Refunds are made at the discretion of Flutterby Puppets.

"What if Flutterby Puppets cancels an event?"
We believe that "the show must go on", however, it is also out of our control when unforeseen circumstances occur that may require cancellation of a show. We have NEVER had to cancel an appearance - but if we do, we will gladly return any deposit or prepayment 100%...and you will receive a FREE show as our booking schedule permits.
SET-UP
"How much room do you need?"

Our set for 2-puppeteer shows requires about an 8' wide by 11' deep space. We need room in front of our stage to safely bring up kids to help with the story, and some access space on at least one side of the set, plus some room in back for us to enter the rear of the set:

For best viewing we recommend that your audience is seated in front, but not at the sides on our set.

Do you need electrical?
We require a standard 120VAC household electrical outlet for our audio system.

Do you have stage lighting?
Our 10' stage lighting truss is available for larger productions on stage or in assemby halls that may require supplemental lighting. There is an additional fee for the use of pro stage lighting.

What about insurance
?
We can provide certification of $1,000,000 liability insurance through Puppeteers of America - we require no less than 30 days notice of this requirement, and there is a fee for the certificate if a copy is required. Please contact us to discuss this.

Do you pull permits?
We do not secure permits for events - our hosts are responsible for pulling any required permits for amplified sound, assembly, or other permits required by local municipalities.

Do you need Electrical?
We require a standard 120VAC household electrical outlet for our audio system. We have 100' of extension cord with us.
If you need us to provide a generator, there will be a rental fee required. Please inquire.

Do you perform at public parks?
We sure do! Remember to check with park officials about any permits required for amplified music, plus electrical. Plan on providing us with a level surface for set-up.

What if it rains?
Always check the local weather conditions before planning an outdoor show. We do not perform in the rain! Have a "Plan B" ready in the event of rain so that your guests can enjoy the show indoors.

QUESTIONS ABOUT THE SHOWS
"Are your shows age appropriate?"

Our shows are designed and produced to appeal to a broad age range, normally from about 2 years of age and up. We always get lots of positive comments (see below) from the adults in our audiences! We are frequently asked if a 1-year old child can enjoy our puppet shows, and they do, but remember, their attention span can be short...but they do love our puppets!

"Where do you get your puppets?"
Our shows feature ALL ORIGINAL, hand-built puppets only! We build all of our own puppets and sets, and we never use off-the-shelf or licensed characters in our productions.

"How many different shows do you offer?"
Our shows are designed for small or large audiences - check out our shows by clicking here.

"Can you change your show to fit our theme?"
We can modify the story telling portion of our shows to fit your theme, however, our puppet shows are developed and produced with music and characters well in advance - changing a full show requires months of preparation, however, if you are interested in a custom show, please call us and we'd be glad to discuss your ideas! Be sure to visit our Custom Production section!

"Do you perform anywhere and for anyone?"
We'll go to the ends of the earth to perform wherever we are desired. We would be glad to discuss pricing for events that require transportation fare and overnight accomodations. We do reserve the right to decline events at our discretion.
